Testing the sod

Testing the sod
October 5, 2018

Students in the Sports Turfgrass Science class are working to establish test plots of new turfgrass behind the high school.  Not only do students learn about the types of grass and how to best maintain them, they also learn how to use the equipment required to do the job.  In this picture, students are using a sod cutter to remove the old turf before they can re-seed the area with the turf they chose for this experiment.
